Shopping in Bath

Bath is well represented in the shopping stakes, The city has all the big names as well as all the complete range of independent retail outlets that are all within easy reach of one another. The bus stations and the train all provide great access to all and sundry that come here especially to shop in the city. With the glittering shops, which would range from antique shops to fashion emporiums, the city offers great splendour, with its fabulous Gothic Abbey, and the glorious Royal Crescent, as well as many other fabulous ornaments that would take your breath away.

Bath is a real gem that is beyond price. The city is great for shopping as it is so compact and one does not have to drag that moaning bag laden husband behind you around the different streets, because the shopping all takes place in and around the small centre. For the serious shopper, start at Milsom street and work your way down to the Southgate.

This route takes only 4 minutes but if you stop to go into the shops, the route could take 5 hours, depending on your wallet. If its alternative shopping, head left at the Podium and left again on to Walcot Street, where you will have a much more unique shopping experience. The antique shops are on Lansdown Hill and at London Road, as well as at Brock Street.
